The Motherf*cking DRINK PACKAGE

Bring yo vessel!!

IAH is hoping to reduce waste on board the ship — and on the island — by using hash vessels over disposable cups. By Day 2 we’re pretty sure the bartenders will realize that pouring straight into our vessels will make life easier on them but if not, you can always transfer your beverage from the bar’s vessel into your own, allowing theirs to be rinsed and reused. You’ll need a vessel for trail too — Nassau H3 has requested no disposables on their island. If you forget yours, Hab has a number for sale, as does the cruise ship.

What is the most-asked question we have had over the course of the past two years?

We have the final list from the cruise line and at last can pass it on. Why the delay? Because we were negotiating the logistics of running two concurrent beverage packages. Here’s how the ship normally operates: you have to wait and sign a receipt for each drink you order, per package type. From the start, we have been firmly against signing for drinks because of the impact on service, while the cruise line (understandably) needs a way to measure standard vs. premium package hashers.

If the bartender is slammed, do we want the wait time of verifying beverage packages (one of which only a minority of us are going to buy) or signing receipts? We decided to err on the side of speedy service.

The ship compromised by creating a single, unique IAH package that combines elements from both the premium and standard lists, including the specialty coffee bar, upgraded cocktails, premium brands, everything on the standard list, and no need to sign for any drinks.

You can still order the higher-end brands if you want and charge those drinks to your cabin account. The bottom line is the pack has more drink options, the bartenders can serve us quicker, and you get one of the most extensive InterAm drinks lists yet! No upgrades required.
